005: Missing key

Yesterday was Sherlock Holmes. I love how beautiful the scenery/movie set looked. Everyone looks so cool and sleek in large black coats. I can't stand how pretty Rachel McAdams looks from every angle, really. Sherlock Holmes ended the movie with "Case reopened". Oh and questionable and somewhat irrelevant music blasted as the credits rolled. Actually I'd rather reread Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys mysteries. I thought they picked a rather stupid plot for a Sherlock Holmes MOVIE.

Spent time with Chan, Ang Bani and Mok talking about life. We actually got chased out of Long John Silver. I didn't know such a thing could happen though. Is that considered rude????

Today, I lost my home key and couldn't get out the house. Not even for lunch or to visit the toy museum for free with friends. ): Still lost hence I'm heavily dependent on someone with key being home.

Tomorrow, I'll work. With a new colleague who moonlights as a porn star. Hmm interesting haha no offense Jiayin. We all know you are hotness. I just wish K will be there, I want to get to know him better as a friend he seems like a really nice and different guy. Gah.

There, past, present and future.

004: A few thousand words

That was from the Genting trip a while ago. I need a damn vacation because I can't get enough of travelling overseas, seeing new things...

Anyway, I finished working. Yesterday was my last day of work but I'll be working again because the warehouse sales is extended. I actually grew to like that job very much. Though its not all that glamorous, the working environment is great, the people are really nice so there's not much to complain about. Can't wait. (:

I have three days worth of fallowing period. Think we are watching Sherlock Holmes tomorrow? Yesterday after work I met Jiali for dinner. Poor girl who spent a month binding calenders. I miss seeing you for so long!!! Talked a lot and it was so relaxing for me because usually I rush home after work for dinner and then I just sleep like a log all the way till the next morning whereby I rise and shine for work again.

Whoo a movie a day keeps the boredom away. I've watched these movies:

003: Flower vases

Hi world. Ended the 2nd day of work today. Can you believe I worked on Christmas Day without double pay. Sad right? Anyway, work is rather enjoyable because it is so easy I don't even think we deserved $5/hr judging by the amount of work we do. For girls anyway, the guys have to do a lot of moving and shifting.

Today, I met my first customer from hell. It was a really brief encounter though. She came asking, or rather ordering me to help her look for blue bedsheet set. I'm like okay, what size do you want and are you okay with flowers. I have no idea why she started chiding me like I refused to serve her or something. She went like, "Alamak I ask you to help me find it so you find it for me". Duh, I was pissed what did I do to deserve this so I just rolled my eyes and walk away to prevent myself from cursing/swearing/slapping her.

Okay but the people I work with are rather pleasant. No major problem causing bitches/ arrogant jerks or assholes. Yes so I'm rather happy. I think I'm crazy. I must be crazy. I think this china dude who works there looks kinda cute and I can't stop staring at him during work. Ah. I MUST BE CRAZY. See how tmrw goes. If I continue staring at him, I should slap myself and wake myself up.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! WAREHOUSE SALES END SUNDAY COME BUY. As if y'all will.

002: Little yellow friend

Today marks the last day of my freedom. I'm going to work tomorrow!!! Which means I will be rotting at home no more. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. So being the filial daughter that I am, I did housework today. Everything looks so neat and nice it just gives me a really pleasant feeling. (:

Yesterday, I went swimming in hope of achieving the tan Minhui got from her holiday. No luck. I'm still as yellow as ever its frustrating. Speaking of which, I really hate it when people swim the width of the swimming pool instead of the length of it. They deserve to be spanked. Irritates the hell out of me when I have to stop and let them pass.

I shall watch a movie now. "Babysitter Wanted" heard of it? I've never but it seems interesting and is reminiscent of those cliche goosebumps stories I used to read when I was younger. Then, I have to drag myself to return my long overdue library books. Maybe I'll see if Yulin is at home and I'll go catch up with her or something. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

And one day I should really go out with Genevieve and have tea at Yuxuan's house.

001: The Circle

My blog is so dead. Yes it is. Since I don't write in my diary anymore and no one reads this, I shall begin self conversation and blogging in Ah lian fashion about my day.

So today, Michelle asked me to go running with her hence causing me to skip breakfast. Still having muscle aches from yesterday. Ouch.

Then, I met Yuxuan for lunch at Orchard ION. The lunch crowd was crazy so we walked around for a while (starving) before settling for Ajisen Ramen. We were in line and up comes Jamie Yeo and her new angmoh boyfriend. You know, the DJ Jamie who was Glenn Ong's ex wife? I recalled reading about their being in love and happy marriage in 8days mag. Life is sooooo unpredictable. You think you are so in love, you tell the entire world about it, a cute guy happens to stroll by and then you decided you don't love what you love anymore.

Gossiped and talked a lot with Yuxuan over ramen, about JC, about life, about boys, about everything under the sun. Afterwards, we got sundae, shaker fries and proceeded outside to sit and enjoy the breeze in the meantime. Continued back into ION, decided Singapore is boring and our nails are too short for a manicure and headed home.

Did you know they changed the direction of the trains? Like the right side was supposed to be to Marina Bay but instead it was to Bishan, in the opposite direction. Is that even legal????? Surprisingly, I seem to be the only one on board who committed this error of not looking at directions.

Came back and watched "The Mist". The ending (of the film, the book has a different less dramatic/impactful ending) is extremely heart wrenching. The main character killed everyone with him as they had already given up hope, accepted their fate right before the mist cleared and the army tanks came and killed the spiders. OMG right????? So damn unfair. But throughout the whole film there was a whole lot of preaching and the cynics all had retribution/died/suffered. Religious much?? Pfft thanks.

Finally, a movie that is on par with the novel. Thank you so very much.

Sixteen

Hello, I'm back from Genting and I've concluded its time for these increasing awkward and boring family outings to cease. I'm SIXTEEN!!!!! I can't believe it myself. As a birthday gift (I assume), my dad brought me into the casino which left me really disappointed because it was not as glamorous/glitzy as I expected. Gambling don't really excite me anyway when you are not a lucky person.

Time calls for a to do list when you realise you are being zero percent productive everyday

1. Find a job pronto
2. Lose weight I've gained from Taiwan and Genting combined
3. Catch up with people I've missed and don't want to lose
4. Find out when's the online Math quiz (anyone knows?)
5. Shopping
6. Watch tons of movies
7. Drinking party
8. Ponder over what I'm going to be in the future
9. Read a lot
10. Watch Beverly Hills 90210 and Glee

Au revoir

Off to Genting Highlands. 7th-10th. I'm slightly excited because we are staying there for 4D3N. Not sure what has gotten into my parents. Hopefully I won't get too bored.

I was sniffing my hair just now cos I suddenly remembered Jiayin telling me my hair smells nice. Really? It smells like burning joss sticks to me. Yeah, it does.

Christmas is so near!!!

New Moon

Any straight girl will be on Team Jacob. The werewolves pack have everything a girl can ask for. Six packs, bronze bods, the straight-on sexy stare, lots of testosterone, and when they transformed into their wolf forms, a fluffy soft toy to play with. It is downright obvious that Edward Cullen is a sissy. He wears blood red lipstick and a lot of foundation. Plus, he doesn't bathe, drinks blood and I bet he never brushes his teeth. Ever. Bella must have really gotten a mouthful when they made out.

I'm really looking forward to New Moon but I'm not quite sure if I should watch it online (uncut) or in the theaters (great visuals and audio). I rarely venture into the fantasy genre sort of movies. Harry Potter (Half Blood Prince) was a major letdown. New Moon SHOULD be great in comparison.

Talking about disappointment, my bro failed to obtain tickets for the Killers and hence, no more space in the standing pen. Boo. How I wish they could just come to my bedroom to play for me. That will be one darn good Christmas wish.

Anyway, I hope everyone's enjoying their holidays! I'm so NOT looking forward to JC.

(Reminder of our little innocent selfs then.) I'm gonna miss you all.

I've had my share

I loathe myself for sinking into depression due to insignificant little things. Anyway, that's behind me. I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with my marks. This EOYs I have been particularly careless.. It SUCKS! Because you know the fucking answer, yet you let the marks slip through your fingers. Seriously! They should award marks for knowing only then will it be a true and accurate gauge of one's ability. FUCK. I'm super frustrated cos I can't blame anyone!!!!!

Anyway, last weekend was the ultimate wind down. Felt like it was the December holidays already. Horror movie marathon (Dial D for Demon [LOLtastic], Premonition, Ju-On and The Wig), the noisiest game of Monopoly ever, Pictionary, Scrabble, Mahjong  and Body World exhibition the morning after. That was BEFORE the results were out. HMMMPH.

Thanks guys for the night. More to come hopefully! xx

Yes, there will be blood

[screenmusings]

Amazing film/musical. It's so beautiful it still haunts me till now.

I'm planning on watching Bonnie and Clyde, Carrie, The Shining, Perfume: Story of a Murderer, The Song Remains the Same (Led Zeppelin) Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Girl, Interrupted, Casanova, The Thing, Eyes Wide Shut, The Virgin Suicides, Silence of the Lamb, Cube and The Hunger.

All/Most of which belongs with the 60s, 70s, 80s... with either sex, booze, or violence or all of them together. Hello Mok, I think we are starting to not belong to our generation. Pffft.

OMFG Lovely friends, we are going 2 TAIWANNNNNNNNNNNN! I still can't believe it!!! xoxo And hahahahaha my bro's in OBS. I have no idea how he's gonna handle it, its so different from sitting in front of his xbox all day long killing Nazis or aliens.

Just lovely

I'S OOOOOOOOOOVER!!!!! OMG we've been living like caged up animals for more than a month and now, all our sufferings are over! YES! The world is a beautiful place to be in!

Yesterday it was fun having some normal social interactions and fun times with insane people. Lunch at Thai Noodle House, and then Marina Square arcade, pool and bowling. Crazy people who screamed their lungs out shooting dinosaurs in Jurassic Park plus embarrassing videos that will ensure our virgin (hence noob and amateurish) attempt at the parapara dance machine will not be forgotten. Oh joy.

It's only the beginning of our wonderful life!!!! I'm being overly optimistic here. What till the results come out... Horror movie marathon continued!

Nirvana is greatness. Make way for the kings. I've been going crazy listening to classic rock. My neighbour's dad just classified me as an uncle trap in a teenager's body. He said he listened to songs I listened to when he was in his mid twenties. As usual, I told him I'm "mature in thinking".

Kelly and Shi Qi are queens.

We are queens of carelessness which makes us the champions of foolishness and ridiculosity.

The Clitoria flower:

It is insect-pollinated with nectar guides that lead insects deep into the flower, to reach the nectaries to obtain nectar. This forces the insect to brush against the anther and pollen grains can cling on to the insect's legs. Its large petal serves as a landing platform for insects pollinating the flower. Yada yada all the well memorized points which guarantee us at least 4 marks out of the 6 marks.

What Kelly and ShiQi wrote:
One example is the clitoris flower.

Well done! If you think it is just a simple, innocent little spelling error, you probably have no idea what clitoris means.

Web definition of clitorisA small, erect body of the female genitalia, partially hidden by the labia. It is highly sensitive, and can be a source of sexual pleasure and female orgasm. It is homologous to the penis of the male.
[link ]

Definitely NOT the name of a flower, neither should it appear on an exam script, especially Nanyang Girls' High School, future deciding End of Year's Biology 50%-of-overall-grades paper. Clitoria! Not clitoris!!!!! I was praying hard during the paper that I will not write the wrong word with the wrong meaning and lo and behold, the flower is clitoria! Stupid me, I shouldn't have listened to Eminem the night before.

Anyway, Kelly wins because she was unaware of the meaning of clitoris, or the existence of such a word, and she ended up committing the same mistake I did. She is the best. We spent a while discussing the possible consequences of our little spelling error.

1. Sandy Tan marks that question and laughs at our scripts, worst case scenario: she may show our scripts to the whole level during paper checking, transforming us into the laughing stock of biology students with a mistake that will possibly go down in history.

2. O Chee marks our unfortunate scripts, giggles and place it in her hall of fame of stupid errors made in EOYs, placing it at the top with both our full names next to it.

3. Chen Lin marks our paper and laughed so hard that something happened, Kelly and I are both interviewed by the Biology Times.

See, we are delirious. The long studying hours and the ridiculous exam papers have taken a toll on us all. Human geography tomorrow. I think I'm getting a fever soon.

Gah. And the night before Math Paper 1, I dreamt that I committed murder by decapitating some Nanyang girl who I don't know in the underground car park and her spirit came to haunt me. The fear was so so real. I dreamt of this stranger with long hair hovering outside my room. Is this an omen? True emotions? Or just plain crazy?

HANG. ON. EXAMS. WILL. BE. OVER.

What's up? The sky.

1. Final year exams commences in a few days' time. Enter late nights, white hair and never ending complaints about life. Gee
2. It is rather distracting to have a brother who spends a week on his xbox, killing and shouting at Nazis, trying in vain to hunt Hilter and his famous facial hair down
3. My insomnia is worsening which makes me feel really hungover throughout the day
4. For a moment I could see Yueching talking but I couldn't hear a thing and when I could she was looking me expectantly for a reply, triggering her signature shrill laughter. Apparently she recognised my spaced-out expression, one that Rebecca always wear on her face
5. Shocking confession!!! I'm still dizzy and beside myself with disbelief
6. I NEED MY SLEEP!
7. Study session with Jiali and Siman. As usual it is the white force vs the black force. Oh I forgot, they believe that they are black and shiny. Self explanatory, cos Jiali is black and Siman is shiny. Then ate cheese fries and gossiped a whole lot. Ah finally some normal social interaction. At night listened to 50 over rock songs and 36 music videos. Was in heaven for a while
8. Mr Lim is definitely pissed off with KT. KT aka Katie made up for his trampled dignity with a new cologne which did more than a good job covering his skunky stench
9. Damn Trigonometry and Differentiation and Integration, come back to mommy
10. TGIF Taiwan bound gang (except for Liyi and Ping Ting) stayed for study session which was relatively productive for the first hour until KFC family feast was delivered and we ceased studying. So damn happy just the break I need
11. GIVE ME MY SLEEP!
12. I wanna watch MTV Fear.
13. Good timeless music: Beach Boys - Good Vibrations
12. Kanye West is a son of a bitch but his music is undeniably mind blowing

BOOOOOOOOO KANYE WEST! Go Taylor Swift!

-

What is wrong with blogger? First, it refuses to clean up its messed up layout and next, its eating up my posts. Anyway, the holidays just ended. Every single day I wake up at 8am sharp, proceed to coop myself up in my room and bury myself in books, knowledge and facts that seems so familiar... yet so unfamiliar. Then at around 3pm I will be in front of my computer playing time management games from bigfishgames. Diner Dash is my favourite so far cos it provides the much needed exercise for my fingers 'clogged' up by lactic acid (that's what the my mom's friend who massaged my fingers told me),  plus I feel a strange and overwhelming sense of accomplishment when I get bonuses for very happy customers. An hour later, my free trial ends and then I go back to studying till around 11.30pm to 12.00am I flop onto bed and try my best to sleep. At around 3.00am I finally start dreaming and then the next morning the cycle repeats itself all over again.

Oh joy holidays!

Sunday was an exception. Finally a swim with my Indian friends by the name of Jiali and Siman. It was awesome soaking ourselves in large bodies of water, artificially increasing the size of out boobs, then waiting for our cells to become crenated, our fingers wrinkled like a prune before we finally went for lunch. It was great fun having some social interaction after days of being cooped up in the house with no one but my lovely waitress, Flo to talk to during her lunch breaks when she is not scurrying around serving obnoxious red, yellow and blue customers.

Anyway, the first day of school was amazing, almost too good to be true. PE was spent doing stupid childhood games and ended with the usual Mr James Ong talks about life. Two of my most hated teachers aren't here! Both language teachers, which pretty much explains my B3 for languages cos I'm not supposed to rejoice in good old nanyang's standards. We celebrated Huiyee's birthday during lunch. I have to admit that I'm not all that close to her but celebrating her birthday made her happy and seeing people happy makes me happy. Like today, when partnering with Ying Jing during PE, she was smiling happily, resembling a friendly little elephant and I couldn't help but feel super happy too. That's why I can't hang around people who are so negative/pessimistic. If I do, I'd probably be a wrist cutter by now.

Whooooo I'm super duper looking forward to post EOYs period. It's gonna be total madness, that I can be certain of. TAIWANNNNNNN!

Bad

On my progress report:
"SQ needs to work on coherence in her SRQ writing in order to avoid giving a piecemeal answer. She needs to be able to evaluate the writer’s argument well to improve in her answering technique."

My grandmother has something to say, or rather.. show:

This Language Arts teacher of my did not grade or even glance through a single one of my SRQ that I handed in, did not provide me with feedback, I bet she didn't even touched my block test paper (except when handing them out) and here she is complaining about how much I suck to my parents. I wish I could stuff something down her throat and up her ass that fucking bitch.

Well, you need a fucking progress report too

"LT is a really really lazy bag of bones with no boobs and ass. She really ought to use some of those salary she is getting from her students' school fees to buy herself some food and stop puking them out. I strongly encourage her to undergo intensive training for horrible teachers for a while before returning to torment her future students. If all fails, she should really consider a change in her so-called career. This career is extremely unsuitable for her. She swears and curses at non designated areas and acts like she's still 16. She is extremely biased and unfair. She is lazy and ugly. She is not a good person. So whoever is in charge of her, kill her before she does any further damage."

Now cry me the river you promised.

Today, we celebrated Yvonne's birthday a day early by throwing her a not-so-surprising "Orange Party". Yvonne loves orange you see, so we had everything in ORANGE, the 'party streamers', the food, the packet drinks. Love you xoxo

Photobucket

Before that, we had a discussion during Lang Arts lesson in a feeble attempt to get us to share what we have learnt about human rights for the past few weeks. And somehow, we digressed and veered off onto the topic of elitism. I think elitists encompassing true elitists values (not those who are just kidding around cos I do sometimes)are scary people because they are a group who overgeneralizes everything, looks down on people they don't even know and labels them "inferior" without even trying to empathize with them. The egos of such people are certainly intimidating but I can't help feeling sorry for them, for they are simply aloof, ignorant and lack the ability to put themselves in the shoes of others while they live in their imaginary fortress up in the clouds. It just reflect so horribly on what kind of person you are and such people disgust me to the core.

Anyway, checking of CCA records today was depressing though I knew I had it coming given my couldn't-care-less attitude and my obvious absence of love for my CCA unlike any other Nanyang girl. Anyway, I still couldn't be bothered and I am glad I am finally out of the CCA that had me imprisoned for four years and made me suffered so much. I'll make wiser choices next time!!

I'm quite positive I will be zooming off to Taiwan at the end of the year with Yuxuan, Siman and Jiayin and maybe Tong! Alas, some motivation to study! There's this facebook group "Stop exams = Save Trees". Ever since some dude invented exams, adults have always used it as a method of psychological torture for adolescents.

Gee, which reminds me, during PCCG we were talking about money. As usual, Yueching and I digressed and we began discussing about our lifestyles of the rich and famous in the future. 30 years down the road, when we are rich and famous, we will reminisce and knew that we once tasted the bitter taste of poverty. I think I will consider myself rich when I have at least 5 credit cards and can buy things without looking at the price tag. And maybe I will migrate to Canada and make some babies there by cross breeding myself with someone with long straggly hair, beautiful blue eyes and a massive package. (Inside joke)

I am so tempted to move out, get my own place, decorate it the way I want, do what I want and study without any disturbance like my mother's annoying and incessant nagging and her barging into my room for timely "surprise checks". Mom, can you just be normal for once? For a start, maybe you can try to zip up that mouth of yours and consider the fact the noise pollution is one main reason why I'm not doing well? Or is the word "ANNOYING" just inherent in your nature? Oh please.

Happy Birthday To You Kelly!!!!

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Jow is sexy sixteen!!! Your fan club will always love you no matter what. Happy birthday!(:

Founder's Day As usual it was boring, and the poor conditions we were in due to the lack of ventilation and the ineffectiveness of the fans in the hall made us all grumpy and all. Funfair was a little better. We were washing cars for teachers. Kelly and I were having so much fun trying to be sexy and cleaning the car at the same time and we spent over 20 minutes fussing over Mark Stone's car till we were satisfied with its state of cleanliness. We almost... almost tried to dry even all four tyres but we gave up and just stood by the side, quietly admiring its glossiness and beauty. Hmm I can marry his car...

The red and white event turned out to be surprisingly thrilling and enjoyable, one of the few rare occasions whereby we all displayed such strong school spirit and enthusiasm. GO WHITE TEAM!

After we were dismissed, Jiayin, Yuxuan and I headed over to Starbucks to hang out. We met this creepy woman there, cept we weren't sure if it was a she or a he as she/he had v. masculine features and a really deep voice. She was commenting on how Jiayin's dress code made her look like "national day" and then proceed to ooh and ah at poor Jiayin about being a Nanyang Girl. Then she/he looked at me and pointed to a rather loving couple huddled over their homework and said, "They like that cannot study one." Lol, I stupidly said, " Can! It's called motivation." He/she was busy trying to figure out what motivation means. Weird but friendly stranger.

I think Singaporeans should try to make small talk with their fellow citizens and try to be a little friendlier, more approachable. That would make our society much much warmer and I wouldn't complain as much when being surrounded by nice fellow countrymen. Anyway, Starbucks is a superb location for people watching, commenting, making superficial remarks we don't actually mean and then breaking into fits of giggles. And I don't usually drink coffee. If I visit any coffee outlet or whatever, I'd probably buy muffins or something totally irrelevant so today was the first time I ever slurped on coffee. Pretty addictive I must admit.
